Here we are at the extra episodes. I was hoping it would be an aftermath of sorts, but I guess that would be a little depressing. I enjoyed it overall though. So they decided to place this episode after Yui snips her bangs (in order for me to tell when it takes place, KyoAni, you bastards). The episode was mostly doing something else outside practicing. In this episode, they became the film club, making a video in hopes to recruit future members in. If this video fails to bring in new members all is unforgiven. I wanna see Sawa-chan’s idea come to fruition. That seems like a movie of epic proportions. I’m serious. The only thing is Sawa-chan’s narration dumbed it down when it should clearly be a serious comedy movie. Yui’s fighting pose best described how the movie would feel. Yui herself was unsurprisingly jeery. I have a feeling she wanted to munch on food too, but I think it’s mostly because she wanted to look good in front of the camera. That, or get a lot of attention, which seemed to work out just fine. I definitely laughed when she taking advantage of her camera time by pretending to help Mio with her math. If this isn’t the cleverest way of using x and y in an example I don’t know what is. And Ui, being the devoted sister she is, zooms in on Yui’s stunning performance.
I was in sync with Jun when she commented on the club’s activities. She may say a lot of negative things about it, but she’s clearly jealous of them and that’s what made her sulk a lot this episode. The final editing of the video did end up being pretty cool though and props to Sawa-chan for keeping in the extra bit at the end. You know what, I agree with Azusa. That part should be cut… and replaced with the one she performed at the end of this episode. That must have been the most adorable “nyan” moment ever. Talk about eksh-en-jee-jee-jee-jee. You know, I think the whole nyan thing is Azusa’s “occupational disease.”
