Another summer episode, and yet again, something I experienced just yesterday. It was July 4th so I went out to see fireworks. Then I realized this episode also had fireworks during summer, except that was for the summer festival. Great to have another episode dedicated to the youngsters: Azusa, Ui, and Jun. I loved the episode featuring these three before so it was great that the focus turned to them once again for this episode. Just as Mio let loose during the Natsu Rock Fes, Azusa let loose on her own and decided to have a nice break while her seniors are studying. Yui and the others buckling down and studying?! Back then I would’ve said that was ridiculous, but Yui proved she can be serious at times. Azusa’s dreams were pretty strange, but I did enjoy how they ended up being somewhat true. Other dreams were probably what would have happened if not for Azusa changing her mind. Why, I should’ve known Mio wouldn’t have the guts to go to a scary movie. Yakisoba water sliding was more ridiculous. Now Azusa winning a trip while Mugi wins a tissue pack makes even less sense, but these are Azusa’s dreams after all. BTW, incredible tanline Azusa’s got going. And the whole “who are you?” bit seems to be stuck with Azusa too. Kinda getting old quick after it’s happened three times this episode.
The summer festival was definitely a last minute kind of thing, but for what was shown it was nice. And at least one dream came true: Mugi finally got some yakisoba. After this episode, I’m kinda hoping the series continues just because Jun agreed to join the light music club. I admit, I was a little ecstatic to hear that. Jun is in the jazz club so she most definitely can bring the music into the light music club. Ui should join too since she’s good but doesn’t do anything at school. Well, I sort of doubt it’ll happen anytime soon but here’s hoping.
