Getting to the point, this episode was quite entertaining, and it made me a big fan of Ui. It also made me realize there would be a surge of Yui x Ui art at this point. You reading this, Gene? It was really cute in the beginning seeing the two as kids. Yui’s using the fluff from their cushions to make Ui a White Christmas was adorable. Another cute scene I liked was when Yui shared her scarf with Ui. I didn’t think a scarf could be that long, but she sure showed me. Either that or Yui’s neck is really small. Speaking of which, anyone else notice Mugi is the only one with, like, a different scarf? Everyone’s generic looking, but Mugi’s got a plaid design on hers. Mugi also seems to be the only one with huge luck. Like, sure, someone that owns tons of villas doesn’t need a trip to Hawaii. She’s not that modest, eh? The whole thing with the presents was predictable, but cute. Reminds me of Gift of the Magi, the ironic story of the couple who sacrificed their possessions in order to give each other a gift. Of course, the girls didn’t actually lose anything in this case. I think my favorite part in this episode is when Ui turns around every second making sure Yui doesn’t eat the snacks she just prepared. Other than the Hirasawas, I enjoyed a lot of the moments involving Ritsu, basically because she was her natural self, and I just love her humor. Sidestepping from her humor, though, I love it that she’s the only logical person of the group at certain occasions. Her telling everyone to redo their prayers (twice for Yui) was great. Actually, I didn’t think they were gonna use the last few minutes for the New Year’s segment, but I’m glad they did anyway (kimono Mio!).

Other than all the HHNNNGGGGG going on, nothing really happened here. Hopefully the series will move away from these kinds of episodes now that we’re heading towards the finale. And it better be awesome.
