Summer heat is melting these girls their faces are about to come off. I haven’t experience scorching heat for a long while -living in San Francisco and all- but when it’s hot, it’s hot, so much that it seems like a chore to be getting up and doing something. Well, I actually can’t say the same for these girls because that’s how it is for them most of the time. This just further cements the fact that the girls can’t work under such conditions as trivial as heat and effort. Well, this isn’t really the point, so I’ll move on now. The first act consists of the girls finding ways to “cool down.” It worked when they got the electric fan out but it got busted up quick thanks to Ritsu. Funny that it suddenly changes to Ton-chan. At least the unofficial sixth member of the club hasn’t been forgotten. It’s probably just me, but the new tank they got looked no bigger than the last one they were using. Let’s see if Ton-chan actually grows in the next few episodes. Somehow they were able to drag Sawako-sensei (do any students call her by her surname?) to their clubroom. They’re lucky they’re close to her or let the faculty show no mercy on these girls.
So if Ritsu was any competent, she could’ve gotten the clubroom an AC earlier than later. Yeah, not the first time she hasn’t paid attention. I guess she’s never really reliable during school hours. It’s funny that they bothered doing a meeting rehearsal because you don’t need to practice giving your arguments why. Azu-nyan sure took shots at their club, which isn’t surprising, but the exchanging retorts weren’t really effective. Oh well, they got the AC without a hitch, so things go back to normal. Overall, pretty big waste of an episode. Nothing really funny happened and it was pretty much less than a stellar time. I think the easiest solution was, straight from the beginning, to just go home and practice there instead of staying in the clubroom sunbathing. So yeah, worse episode so far. Next episode, summer continues, but this time Ho-kago Tea Time goes on a trip to (hopefully) do some practice.
Incidentally, it’s pretty dang hot in Japan right now.
