Hmm, those pig jokes aren’t going anywhere, are they? Now the girls’ new member is a turtle with a pig face. Now, like the first season’s episode 2, this was mostly about the dough, and when I say dough, I don’t mean the sweet sweet pastries of Mugi-chan, but the money. Incidentally, both also were in relation to a guitar. This time, Sawa-chan-sensei’s rare and expensive guitar. 500,000 yen was obviously too much, so it was very hilarious how the girls reacted to the money. They’re all completely consumed by greed, save for Mugi-chan, who was born wealthy. Speaking of her, she was sure loving the departments that sold all those mechanical tools. It’s a dream come true for her. I don’t think I’ve ever seen her this happy. Now, did anyone feel a bit overwhelmed by the background? It’s like the girls jumped into a music video, though no familiar pencil technique showed up in this episode.
Big highlights: Mio in a ponytail, definitely. Too bad it was short-lived. And was that Mr. Saturn? Ritsu’s receipt-eating scene came out of nowhere, but that’s why it was that funny. The other girls then dance in joy at this until Sawa-chan pulls her “The Ring” as well. Mio and Azusa then blame Ritsu for everything. The number one moment in this episode? Yui’s money-smacking fetish. My god, the other girls’ desires were realistic enough, but once it got to Yui it was just hilarious. So she’s that kind of girl, huh. She even makes Sawa-chan give her a good money-smacking. I would’ve guessed rubbing the bills on her face would’ve been much more cute of a quirk, but getting pleasure from this just gets me taken aback. Well played, Yui. She was pretty much being silly this entire episode. I do think buying Ton-chan at the end seemed random. I believe the girls already said what they had with Azusa after last episode, but I suppose this was compensation for being a lousy club. Next episode looks like Sawako-focused, which could fare well.
